![]() ![]() Searching online, I'm not seeing any previous sales, but am curious if anyone has seen any sales of one previously and has an idea on value? The only documentation is the Archive Letter showing shipping to the Royal Netherlands Indies Ordnance Commission (NY, NY) in October 1940. If I had to guess, I'd speculate it may have been something a WWII GI acquired and brought back. I don't know any of the history, but it followed some route back to the U.S. Mine is all "beat to hell" it's been refinished (probably more than once) has no accessories like some of those Sam shows on his site and has no other markings on the pistol other than the severely worn roll-markings Colt originally put there. Sam Lisker has this page on his site on them: Colt Pistols and Revolvers for Firearms Collectors - Model 1903 Pocket Hammerless. I got some Archive letters today and have learned one of my Hammerless 1903s was a Dutch contract pistol. ![]() I know I should be posting pictures, but there really is not much to see (and I'd really have to start "digging" to get it out for photographing).
